JACK!  WE WILL NEVER FORGET OUR TRIP TO SEE ELVIS'S HOME, THE FOUR OF US HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIFE. WE HAVE RELIVED THAT TRIP SO MANY MANY TIMES. AND THERE ARE SO MANY MORE TRIPS THE FOUR OF US TOOK TOGATHER TO MANY TO WRITE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.  JACK I HOPE YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN AT ALL OF US AND SEEING HOW MUCH WE MISS YOU, OUR LIVES HAVE GONE ON BUT OUR LIVES ARE NOT THE SAME WITHOUT YOU, GOD TOOK YOU BUT NOT OUR MEMORIES. Jack,

I am very fortunate to have met such a man as you. We have known each other for a short time but you made me feel like family and always welcome. You and Sharon took me to my first WhiteCaps game and to my first Owls Hockey game. What fun I had!  Words cannot express how you have impacted my life.  Love Joan

 Memories, memories, thats all  i have left. But oh what wonderful ones they are. There are so many, I'm not sure where to begin. The first time I met Jack or at our wedding when Rev. Fassett said that he had never seen a couple giggle so much at their wedding. We always had so much fun on vacations, with or without the kids. Lots of memories with the baseball games, hockey games and all our trips we took. One of the best memories is of our Wonderful 25th anniversary party. There were so many friends and family there to help us celebrate. We have shared alot of sorrow as well as joy. With our family, children, grandchildren and friends we have had a Wonderful Life. I love and miss you so very much. Thank you Jo for this lovely memorial for grandpa.

I  guess one of my favorite memories was in grand haven ,pier fishing. We walked into the mens room ,ever seen a mens room with no urinals? Well I finished my project and went outside and waited on uncle Jack[for a long time!]When he came out he looked at me with a half confused half mad look saying something about a crazy women came out of a stall and was chewing him out! when the door shut behind him we noticed somebody spraypainted the WO off the door.LET THE LAUGHS BEGIN!! It was always something would happen when we went fishing to give us what we needed,a good laugh[even if it was on us]

I remember this one time when my dad grandpa and i went fishing in our boat wich is v bottom instead of his boat wich was flat bottom. well we dropped the boat off at the launchand grandpa stayed with the boat while dad and i went and parked the truck. this was early inthe morning and kind of chilly out. well dad and i come walkin down and we were talkin to each other and all ofa sudden we hered a big splash. we looked up and didnt see grandpa any where so i run down to the dock but before i got there he come walkin up out of the water drenched. he looked very upset and cold. we asked him if he wanted to go back and change and he said in the deep rumbly voice "no lets just go fishin".  that right there just tells how he loved spending time with family and friends and (fishing). hes taught me so much and im thankfull for having him in my life, but still am upset and can hardly thinkabout him cause it hurts so bad. I LOVE AND MISS U SO VERY MUCH grandpa and look foreword to seeing you again some day.
